E-Church

Why an e-church?

Today’s world is not like the days of old when whole cities would close long enough on Sundays to allow people to come to church; Sundays being the day most Christian churches “do church”.

At one time, Mobile County, Alabama, the site of the first Legacy Church International, was considered a blue law county which meant that places of business would close long enough on Sunday to afford its workers an opportunity to practice their religions. That is no longer the case in most places around the world.

There are those who would say, “If a person is truly Christian and wants to go to church, they could quit and find another job”, and to some extent that could be true; however, there are those who have no choice for one reason or another but to work those jobs or not work at all. For Legacy, the e-church is the answer. The e-church is just like attending regular church, except the majority of it is online.

Who should get involved?

Legacy believes that fellowshipping with other believers in a corporate and local setting is absolutely necessary for spiritual development. At the same time, today’s world does not permit many to participate in a local church for one reason or another. This includes work schedules, sickness and disease, caring for a loved one who is shut-in, and the like.

If something beyond your control is keeping you from being a part of a local church, that is with your physical presence, then the e-church is for you. Legacy encourages everyone to find a local church, however, if circumstances prevent that, Legacy wants to welcome you to our family through the e-church.

How to get involved

To become a part of the Legacy family through the E-Church, you must be willing to put in the time just as you would with a commitment to a local church. That means you make the commitment to attend church online as you would physically being present at a local church and support your e-church membership with your prayers, volunteerism, and financial support.

In other words, you get involved in the e-church just as you would in a local church.

What you get for being an e-church member

Being a part of the Legacy E-Church is not you going online and watching a message and then considering yourself a part of the church. That’s what happens with most e-families, and churches that provide their worship experiences online. It is expected that you support that church/ministry financially and rightfully so, but the Legacy E-Church is different. Here are the benefits of being a part of the E-Church family at Legacy:

1. All content will be in English and Spanish. The Sunday morning worship and weekly Bible Study is provided in English and Spanish. Content includes all seminars, specialty courses, small groups, and specialty groups including Men of Legacy and Ladies of Legacy (the men’s and women’s ministry of Legacy), Youth ministry, and children’s ministry for those who will be including their whole family.

2. Community – Being a part of the E-Church connects you to people around the world who are experiencing similar situations and provides you the opportunity for fellowship and to meet new people of precious like faith.

3. Belonging – As a member of the E-Church, you are a full member of Legacy Church International.

4. Online Services – As a member of the E-Church, you will have access to all teaching outlines and materials circulated in the local churches of Legacy. You will also have access to books and other products in the E-Store (Coming August 2021) as those attending the local church. Material will be available through the web site until the E-Store launches.
